With our 100th episode behind us, we thought it was only fitting to officially introduce our newest member to the Life and Dentistry crew. Meet the one and only Friend Bechtel! Friend Bechtel, though not a TN boy, was raised on a small hobby ranch in Northern Idaho. From humble beginnings, Friend is working hard to develop a future focus to both provide for his family and protect the future of dentistry. Post-graduation he operated a small construction business. First year of dental school he discovered podcasts and frankly has consumed more podcasts and taken more notes on them then probably his entire school combined. This earned him the attention of many leaders in dentistry including this lovely team. In dental school he founded a business organization to help his peers learn more of the business and prepare for the world to come. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife fostering and building new relationships, playing electric violin in local bands, and building his real estate portfolio.

On today's show we sat down with Dr. Ken Randal. Dr. Ken is a practicing dentist in Chattanooga Tennessee. He was speaking at the local ASDA district meeting and was graciosos enough to sit down with us and give out some of his real world pearls.

On todays episode we sat down with Chris Mahan of Mahan & Associates! This was recorded live during the 2018 TDA Annual Session in Franklin, TN! This episode was jam packed with several pearls about saving the most you can in taxes as a dentist, and other financial insights! A little background on Chris: Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and MBA in Healthcare Management with concentration in Accounting. He leads the Practice Management Division within the company. Chris has worked with dentists and physicians for over nineteen yers and is a frequent lecturer on various practice management topics at local, regional, and national healthcare forums.

What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? What does it mean to be relentless? These are two words that truly go hand in hand, and questions that we dive deep into during this episode. We had Drs Karah and David Maloley along with Tiger Safarov sit down with us to chat on these topics and many more. We started the episode with a few laughs, but once we got going, the pearls in this episode just started flowing.
